When using Volt CRM, you can be sure that you are getting the best in technical infrastructure. Our servers are located at the state-of-the-art Global Switch facility in Sydney.
Global Switch Sydney is Australia's largest carrier neutral facility giving Volt CRM customers the very best in environment, security and back-up systems.
At Volt CRM our speciality is customised CRM solutions for small business, so we outsource our server maintenance. We:

* ensure that there is no single point of failure with fully redundant, load-balanced web clusters
* continuously monitoring all systems and servers
* conduct daily back-ups with offsite archives of weekly and monthly backups.
Your data is secure
The Volt CRM data centre maintains the highest level of building security around the clock. The centre's multiple CCTV points, secure entries and exits and limited access areas are all managed by building control staff 24x7.
An optimal operating environment is maintained at all times. The temperature in the technical space stays at 22°C (±2°C), with a humidity range of 50% (±10%).
Fire detection and suppression equipment includes smoke and heat detectors in all areas, dry pipe sprinklers in technical areas, dry risers to all floors and smoke and gas clearance system.
The power supply is provided through a minimum N+1 redundancy; the main power is supplied via two 33kV dedicated incomers, a diverse A&B power supply distributed at 11kV via a rotary UPS and multiple ring main circuits. All power and cooling in the data centre are supported by up to 22 rotary UPS units.
During power outages, there is an onsite diesel power generator (360,000 litre capacity) that can support the centre at full capacity for 24 hours. This is backed up by a 2 hour/24x7 fuel delivery contract.
High Speed Data
Our data centre facility features a dedicated 155 MBit STM1 ATM link, and multiple OC3 internet connections with 6MB available PVC for failover.
All Volt CRM services are run on IBM NetFinity 4500R rack mounted web servers.
These are specified to be mission critical machines, scalable to incorporate the use of a RAID disk array. Cisco and Lucent Network equipment is used, with full service contracts.
Volt CRM enjoyies the benefit of full load balancing across a clustered web server farm, all the data being stored in a fibre channel RAID array. Load balancers ensure web requests to any site are distributed to the least busy web server machine, maximising performance 24x7.
Redundancy exists at every level with each point of failure protected by a fully automated fail-over replacement. This really is web hosting at it's best.
Backups
All your business data storage within Volt CRM is stored on the SAN and backed up daily via our automated backup procedures. Offsite copies are maintained.
This infrastructure gives customers the most rapid deployment option possible for mission critical applications. It features full redundancy and fault tolerance with no limitations on storage and performance.
By simply adding servers into the infrastructure at appropriate points we can manage scalability without downtime to meet demand.
At all times, the infrastructure is managed to ensure that there are sufficient free resources at any potential bottleneck points.
Data Security
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) just like online banking services to encrypt the information passing between the browser and the server to stop any potential hackers from accessing your data in transit. Access is username/password protected. Password resets can only be processed after identification check or via a reset email delivered to the users email address. Once logged into the system, the user can only access information that they have permission to view. The Role based access system allows the file administrator complete control of access to your information. |
